    For as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with the impact that clothing can have on a scene or character. Whether it was begging my mom to sew wedding attire for my barbie dolls as a kid or pulling all nighters to get costumes done for student projects, I  always value the wardrobe design just as much as the project itself. For me it's easier to ensure that my vision turns out the way I picture it by doing the work myself even if it adds extra onto my plate. I would rather put in the work and be proud of what I have accomplished than to sit back and not say anything if it means the project could be improved with skills I possess.

   Growing up mixed korean/white,  I have always found a hard time identifying in either community and often felt that my opinions didn't have the same importance as someone fully immersed in one culture. As the importance of Asian Americans in Hollywood has become more of a hot topic in recent years I have found more confidence in being able to be proud of my roots. I have made it a personal goal of mine to include not just Korean culture in my projects but also minority cultures in general because I believe its important to normalize people of color.

   I am a highly self motivated artist and passion for my work is largely what has kept me going these past years as I worked towards my bachelors degree in a costume emphasis Fashion design degree. It was many long nights of balancing a job with school despite us students being discouraged from using our time for anything but work but I am proud of what I managed to achieve.
